To be or not to be.
January 24, 2007Just got done checking out the new version of Word Press… the specs anyway. I think I need to upgrade; but I’m not feeling that froggy tonight. Besides miltownkid took the easy way out when he installed my wordpress and now I have all sorts of problems with it. I’ll save it for the weekend so I have time to back up everything.
I’ve picked up a new hobby the past week, but we’ll have to get back to that later. In part, this plays a huge part in me not posting this past week… which brings me to… my problem.
I’m addicted to… gadgets! Lately have been on a gadget spending spree, and I need to chill that shit out. I’ve dropped a lot of cash in the last 4 months. Each time I pick something up, I’m like, cool I’m done, I don’t need anything else, then a week later, I’m like oh… I think I want… need that.
I’m done until my new phone hits the market.
I’ll post about my recent purchase this weekend.

I told you you had a problem.
My gadget purchases have become very calculated lately and are becoming more and more so. My goal now is max functionality balanced with efficient use of funds (aka cost.) Basically I do my best to mix high-tech and frugality.
Oh but do… maximize function for the buck! I think ahead, alway allow for upgrades if applicable, plan on keeping the items, and using them for many years to come; so i buy a little above the curve, but I’m able to function beyond the average time frame of obsolescence. Case and point. my old laptop, if given an OS reload, would probably still rock and roll. It’s 4 years old. But because i had to carry around all of those accessories, and the fact that it is four years old, and it could possible blow up any day now… I opted to get a new one, then to get stranded.
The real problem… Do we need the stuff we buy?
