I’ll keep it short… I’m a PC guy (more like 50/50 now)… I bought a 2TB hard drive maybe about 1.5 years ago so I could back up all that is dear to me. First think I did was to format the drive using NTFS rather than FAT32 because of the added security options. Well… after backing up a bunch of crap an my laptop, I get home and find out; native, the Mac OS does not support NTFS… so I had to purchase software to read the drive.

When it comes to backing up my memory cards, I have always connected everything to my ThinkPad and used a piece of software called Beyond Compare to copy the data to the drive. Well… there were a few times I left my ThinkPad at work and needed to clear a card, so I used my MacBook to do it… looking through the drive today I noticed about 1300 0k files.. The NTFS for Mac software is flawed….

The kinda good news is, I use a Western digital Passport as a go-between sometimes when I don’t have my monster drive available… I still had about 1000 of the missing photos on that drive… so I only lost ~240 pics. I’m not 100% sure what they were… but I really don’t want to know…

A note to Microsoft…

Dear Microsoft,

I currently own a Smart Phone that runs Windows Mobile 6.1. Every application that I have installed, and every file that I have downloaded, when given the option, I save to my 2Gig Micro SD card. none the less, I have completely run out of space in the main section of memory. I went to the ‘remove applications’ utility and it is absolutely empty… I then went to the memory manager where it shows me that I have 0.0K available… There is a link to a search program that allows you to find large files on your device so that you may free up space… so I do this and arrange the data by size, and the only option you have from this point is to open the file… So Microsoft… My question to you is… WHAT GOOD IS THIS FUCKING SEARCH IF YOU DO NOT ALLOW ME TO DELETE OR EVEN SEE THE PATH OF WHERE THE FILES ARE????

Sooo…. the snow is …. for the most part (fingers crossed) gone, and with the warmer weather comes the motivation fro me to, excuse the term, Bust out the camera!
A few weeks back (4-4-9) ?uestLove was in town for an event called the Miltown Beatdown, and as a side gig was booked to do a set at Apartment 720 after. Me being the RawkStar that I am, rolled up into the DJ booth while he was doing his after set to take some pictures. The next morning I started sifting through thumbnails of the shots I took, and as I’d see one I liked, I’d open it up for further review. I drag four fingers down on the track pad (exposé on the new macbook… and for all you PC folk out there… exposes all open windows by shrinking and tiling them on the screen)… ‘I stood in the same corner and used a fixed lens… wonder if I can…’

It’s a bit random… but that’s how I get down…

Looks like I ended things with… 2008 was a shitty year! My feelings about that 3 moths later are still the same… 08 sucked monkey balls!

First things first… My 10 year High School Reunion was 2 weeks ago… and I must admit, through all of the ups and downs of the planning stage and having to work with 6 very different personalities, the end result made everything worth it. The weekend turned out to be a much greater success than I ever could have anticipated (after reality hit me during the planning stages ). The thrill of success touched me so much, that I immediately started planning the first of hopefully many alumni summer barbecues.

I’m still trying to kick things up a notch at work… but it just seems like I am spinning my wheels. The current financial “situation” I’m sure does nothing to help, but it just seems like the entire industry that surrounds my wish list of things to get done is just in slow motion… Realistically… I think I just need to be a bit more consistent with cracking the whip! Another thing to add to my list.

This post makes absolutely no sense!

Friday was the first day of Spring!
Along with the budding flowers and trees, the melting snow and the flooding basements, is the return of a part of me that seems to die every winter… the creative part. Now if I can only get caught up with all of the yard work, house work, and maintenance that needs to be done on my investment properties… I might find some time to take advantage if this.

…. Fact… This time could be better spent!

Upgraded the UI… I’m sure I’ll like it, but hell, I don’t know where anything is right now.

Drink ‘n Pwn, Class Reunion, and experimental promoting/marketing with all of the above and some clubs/bars and my business… That what’s going on… and as you can see… my blog and flickr get neglected.

Drink ‘n Pwn is one of the projects I am extremely excited about because… I know it’s a great idea, and I cant wait for it to catch on… Plus… I personally just want to get out from time to time and kill some brews with the hommies over a few games of Mario Party. The class reunion is going well, I’m really happy that everyone stepped up and is motivated to get this finalized. If it wasn’t for the rest of the committee… I would be pulling my hair out right about now, and going crazy from a lack of sleep. Thanks guys!

2009 should go well! I’m starting off the year in Mexico, and will come right back into the finalization stages all of the projects I worked hard to setup during the end of 08… The money should come next.

So much to talk about nothing…

Let’s get one thing straight folks… this blog is about nothing at all… as a mater of fact… I have no idea why you’re reading it!
Had a chance to get down to Texas last week… got to see a little bit of what Ike did to Galveston. I’m sure the pics I took cant hold a candle to what the place must have looked like before the cleanup started, but here it is a good six weeks after and the place is still in shambles.

This past week was one born in hell and sent special deliver to me in the memory of a beautiful package… complete with audits and insubordination. I spent the entire week searching for answers… some of which I didn’t have the questions to. If I had a list of the top 10 worst weeks of my life, I’m sure this one ranks near the top… I can’t be 100% sure because the brain does that funny, ‘It wasn’t that bad’ thing. By next week I’ll be saying, “Huh..? What bad week?”

It’s only Thursday night…

I decided to take a Short break from flickr… Why??? (Shrug!)
I just think it’s nice to unplug for a while. I think it might be a bit hard to do… especially ‘cause it’s Halloween weekend and I knoowwwww that inevitably I’ll end up getting some sort of goofy shot of something/someone(s)… as a mater of fact… I posted the pause yesterday and ended up shooting some awesome pics of my God daughters.
I guess the world will have to wait.

So I got an invite this past weekend to go and kick it with some of the members of my Entourage at their school. They were having a double matinee… Charlie Brown, It’s the great pumpkin… and the Wizard of Oz; both playing on a huge inflatable screen outside the school. Who would want to miss that?
So while the Wizard of Oz was playing, I had this urge (early… no before the movie began) to get pictures of the Wicked Witch of the West and the mean looking lollypop dudes. Sooo… I did!
After getting home and looking at the pictures… I had yet another urge to do this to it… why??? I don’t know, but now I’m cramming it down all your throats (all 4 of you that viewed it!)… Enjoy!

It’s that time of year again… Most people are excited about the change in season… The cool air, the beautiful colors, the upcoming holidays.
Truth is… all I can think about is winter! Last winter KILLED me, and from what I hear, this winter is supposed to be at the least, par with the ‘06-’07 season. For the first time in my life, I was/am seriously giving thought to moving. I love home… but…
